Are There Any Bedrooms on the First Floor?
Absolutely! As frequent travelers, we find it frustrating that Airbnb, Expedia & VRBO don’t have specific filters to help visitors find accommodations with 1st floor bedrooms!
Each of our properties, Fara-way Cabin, Wandering Elk Cabin and Stargazer each have bedrooms on the first floor for the convenience of your vacationers for whom stairs are a concern.
Please keep in mind, there are as many as 5 low steps from the parking areas into the cabin. Wandering Elk Cabin and Fara-way cabin have ramps from the driveways, but you’ll still have to negotiate 2 or 3 steps to get into the house.
Once you’re in, Fara-way has one King bedroom (shown below), a spacious Queen bedroom and a third, 1st floor bedroom with twin beds.
Wandering Elk Cabin offers 2 cozy Queen bedrooms on the main floor .
Stargazer Cabin has a huge King-sized bedroom.We’ve tucked a Twin bed in a small alcove adjacent to the family room. Just be aware that the Twin bed area is isolated at night, but it’s part of the main gathering space during the daytime. We also want you to know that it’s not dark when the sun comes up – no way to black out the huge A-frame windows!
Do You Allow Dogs and Are There Breeds that are not accepted ?
You are welcome to bring your well-behaved dogs to any of Rustic Luxury’s cabins. We want your family to enjoy your time in the mountains together. Our dogs (we had a Pug and our Cane Corso, Koda) love the crisp, clean air and grassy trails as opposed to walking on blacktop. So the long answer is, we have not made restrictions on any breed. Don’t leave them home to deal with anxiety that comes from being separated from the family.
All we ask is that you provide a place for them to sleep that’s not on the Duvet covers, so guests that might be staying after you leave will enjoy the same crisp linens and bedding you experienced. Please keep your furry family friends kenneled and safe when you can’t take them with you.
There are other dogs, javelina, coyotes and the occasional bear, bobcat & mountain lion that live in the neighborhood, (and of course, hundreds of elk) so when they start howling or passing by the door, please think of your dog’s anxiety and keep them safe.

Whether it’s your first time in Pine-Strawberry or you’re a frequent visitor, it’s in both of our best interests that our cabins (and our little Village) will meet all your needs for comfort and relaxation and great food.

All traditional electronic payments are acceptable.
If you contact us to book directly rather than utilizing AirBnb, VRBO, Expedia or Homeaway, we may be able to accommodate funding through Zelle, Cash App or Venmo.
