Wandering Elk Cabin

I’m passionate about creating getaway spaces for families, where natural surroundings, small comforts & special touches reinvigorate relationships, while softening the challenges of being away from home. After spending 15 years as a Teacher & Resource Librarian in public Elementary Schools, I traveled 20 days a month as an Education Consultant. Staying in hundreds of hotels across the US & Europe and being away from home is rarely “accommodating.” I discovered our first property, Wandering Elk Cabin, in 2019 and then the Pandemic of 2020 quickly eliminated my corporate position. While devastated, that misfortune led to “sheltering in place” in my mountain retreat. It became exhilarating adapting to a slower, more relaxed pace in Pine. The time alone helped me realize I had the freedom to extend that peace, serenity and appreciation for my friends and family. I created Rustic Luxury Cabin Rentals to recreate that feeling of togetherness for your family too, even if only for a couple of days.
